Hop Skip ‘N’ a Dump has skip bins for any job, any size from 2m³ to 8m³
Disposing of rubbish comes in all shapes and sizes. That is why we offer a range of skip bin sizes to meet your needs, with the most cost-effective size to match the quantity of rubbish you have for removal.
To estimate the quantity of waste you have for rubbish removal, it can be as simple as imagining how many wheelie bins (250 litre or 320 litre) or standard 6×4 trailers your rubbish would fill. If you cannot imagine the volume of wheelie bins or trailers, then maybe you can imagine boxes that are a metre by a metre by a metre and how many of those boxes you would fill.

If you are the independent sort and want to take a mathematical approach to calculating how much waste you have, here are a few ideas you can try:
- The volume of a cone is a good way to estimate the volume of a pile of rubbish.
- The volume of a hole or a pit that you have dug (or are going to dig) out is similar to the volume of a box, although when digging out soil. Remember you will need to allow for the material expanding due to the space between the clumps of soil. It can double in volume when you dig up soil and it gets aerated.
- Bricks and concrete often resemble boxes before they are knocked down or broken up. Calculate the volume of the boxes (added them up if there is more than one box) and then double the volume to allow for the space between the bricks and concrete.
